Great Taste

Becanex natural hemp extracts are different

The way that cannabinoids are extracted from the plant has great influence on the quality of the CBD oil that is made with it. Our unique process uses a range of solvents known as Phytosols. The solvent system, process methodology and critical parameters including: solvent/ biomass ratios, contact times, temperature and pressure are precisely controlled to give a bespoke method so that optimum extraction yield and chemical composition of the products are routinely obtained by design. This is also very important with regards to guaranteeing the quality and safety of the product.

Becanex extracts have a mild, slightly nutty and sweet taste. This phenomenon is explained by the lack of high molecular weight polyphenols, including chlorophyll, and absence of degradation molecules in our product.

analyze them. The cannabinoids that currently can be found with existing analysis methods are: CBD, THC, CBN, CBG, CBDV, CBC and THCV. A recent study (1) shows that CBD-rich cannabis extracts are more effective than pure CBD. It is expected that this is because of the interaction of all the different cannabinoids that are present in the extracts, called the entourage effect.

The Entourage Effectis a term that is used to describe the mechanism by which cannabis compounds work together in the human body. It was originally used to describe the cooperation of two endocannabinoids showing a bioactive effect, where the single endocannabinoids did not. Another well-known Entourage Effect is the potential of CBD to modify the effects of THC, possibly mitigating some of the negative (2).

The quality of our extracts is dependent on the quality of the hemp that we use for extraction. If the cannabinoids are not present in the hemp, then we cannot extract them. Large scale cultivation of legal European hemp for cannabinoids is relatively new and therefore there are some exiting new developments to expected here as well. We are looking to start projects in collaboration with farmers to increase the content of minor cannabinoids, but also to find variations in terpene composition. Very small changes (part per millions or even billions) in terpene levels can change the aroma of the extract from nutty to citric, pine or even lavender. In this way we can add a bit of extra fun and cannabis experience to your daily consumption of CBD oil.
